It is hard to give a ‘one size fits all’ figure with garden design. Several factors come into play, as every garden's shape and size is different and every requirement is personal. Not everybody wants or needs a whole new garden. Some want guidance on planting, others want design inspiration. We recognise that this is a long-term investment and you want to get it right, which is why we offer a variety of options to help design a garden to reflect the lifestyle and personality of its owners. Some customers know exactly what they want, others don't know where to start due to the hundreds of options and choices available. It all comes down to preference and the complexity of the design that influences the overall cost.-
Garden layout design
This package is ideal for small to medium-sized gardens (up to four hundred square metres) that do not need a topographical survey and do not pose complex challenges like drainage problems, steep slopes or an irregular shaped plot. Prices start at £625. A lighting plan with wiring routes can also be included.

Planting plans and schedules
Planting plans to suit soil type and position in the garden, along with detailed schedules of how to care for each plant. We can also source and order plants. Prices start from £395 where Rutland Garden Design has designed the garden. Prices may differ for gardens we haven’t designed.

Bespoke garden design
Of course, all gardens designs are bespoke. But a garden larger than four hundred square metres or has intricate requirements with drainage, level changes or irregular shaped plots, will require extra time for designing.
